I am continually adding new recipes to my site, but they aren’t easy to find among the many pages of information that I’ve posted on the site.  You can search using the post categories but some of the categories produce a lot of results.  You can also use the search tool in the sidebar and can browse through the List of Contents which lists and links to every post on the site but this list is very long!  To help I’ve split the recipes into the categories shown below and clicking on the link will take you to a post listing all the relevant recipes.  Some recipes do appear more than once as they fit into more than one category.

    Hi Amber,

Is it common to be on the cruise phase and have 3 to 4 days go without any loss?

There is no weight gain but it is frusturating.
When there is a loss its .5 to 1 lb.

I am following the pp pv combination, should i change it to 5 and 5?

I have been following the diet for 3 weeks and have lost 10 lbs.

    Thank you for your advise,

    Dolly

    • Amber on November 4, 2017

      Hi Dolly

Yes it is very common. Weight loss on Cruise averages 1 to 2 pounds so you look to be about right. Changing to 5 and 5 won’t make you lose more weight.

      Best wishes

      Amber:)

    Hi Amber,
Thanks for everything you’re sharing with us.
Wanted to ask if fava beans allowed in cruise phase of Dukan?

    • Amber on November 4, 2017

      Hi Jean

I’m sorry but fava beans (broad beans in UK) aren’t on the list of allowed vegetables.
      Best wishes

I have been following the Dukan Diet for a few weeks. I started with a 4 day attack and am alternating PP and PV days. I typically go 3-4 days with absolutely NO weight loss and then might lose 0.5-1 pound. The pattern seems to continue. Is this an indication that I need to change my alternating pattern? Ironically, my last big loss came after a small cheat meal where I cave to an oatmeal bar and some crackers because I didn’t have enough PP with me at work.

How do you determine the best alternating pattern?

    • Amber on October 29, 2017

      Hi Angela

As long as you are losing weight I wouldn’t change anything. We don’t lose weight in a straight line:)

An oatmeal bar and some crackers are not a major cheat and the fibre may have helped with the weight loss as constipation is a common reason for lack of weight loss.

Any pattern that keeps the same number of pp and pv days is fine. Alternating PP and PV days is usually the easiest to follow and stick to.

      Thanks

      Amber:)

Any chance I can have a few tiny dices of onions and sugar free tomato paste on the Attack Phase for,my meatloaf? Alao, is the eggy bread you post the recipe for OK on the Attack Phase? Day one and I’m shaky already…I love protein but am afraid we’ll not feel, full or,go crazy without some ‘extras’…thanks!

    • Amber on September 16, 2017

      Hi Marcy

Yes you can have one medium onion and a teaspoon of tomato paste on PP days and in Attack.

      Best wishes

    Hii Amber,

I started dukan diet 2 weeks ago and now I am in cruise phase. I live in S Korea and as you would know kimchi and fermented chilli is kind of staple here. So,both of them are not dukan friendly as they contain high sodium content but I have read tons of posts where people while observing dukan diet have added both of them in their recipies.. So, my question is that incase somebody happens to add such ingredients in excess (like I did), then what should we do in next few days that the effect of high sodium content gets nullified. Also, I want to know that how often can I add kimchi or chilli paste to my stews.

    Thanks.

    • Amber on June 13, 2017

      Hi Insha

It is the sugar in this foods that make them unsuitable for the Dukan. High levels of salt in your diet can cause water retention but the impact is only short term once the excess salt works it way out of your system.

I managed to find a sugar free kimchi recipe https://iquitsugar.com/recipe/the-easiest-kimchi-recipe/ And here is a link to a sugar free chilli sauce that might work as an alternative http://www.lowcarbsosimple.com/sugar-free-sweet-chili-sauce/

You would able to use the sugarfree chilli as a seasoning/flavouring on any day but the kimchi is a vegetable so can only be eaten on PV days.

      Best wishes

Question- can I use sugar free pudding mix made with skim milk ?

          • Amber on August 5, 2017

            Hi Lina

Sorry no, only sugar free gelatin pudding is allowed.

            Thanks

    Hi amber,
I’m on day 3 of the attack phase and I’m so excited, I feel less bloated and flabby already. This website is my guru, it’s brilliant!
Please can you tell me if I can use slim noodles instead of the sh… what’s it noodles as I can’t find them anywhere.
    Thank you

    Jo xx

    • Amber on June 11, 2017

      Hi Jo

Slim Noodles aren’t the same as Shiratki noodles.

But Holland and Barrett sell Zero Noodles Gluten Free Noodles £2.29 or you can buy online eg https://uk.iherb.com/pr/miracle-noodle-shirataki-pasta-fettuccini-7-oz-198-g/37664s

You are looking for a product that has Konnyaku Glucomannan flour and Calcium Hydroxide and Water – nothing else.

      Best wishes

  • Nicky on May 5, 2017

Amber, I did the dukan diet 5 years ago when i ate meat and it worked out well. I am starting it again, but am now eating vegan. Am I able to use soy or rice milk instead of dairy?
Also, how can I make the Galette without egg?

    • Amber on May 6, 2017

      Hi Nicky

Soy milk and yogurt is fine but not rice milk. However to follow the Dukan as a vegan will mean making adjustments that are a best fit. You could try ground flaxseed in the galette as I have read that this is a good vegan substitute.

      Good luck

      Amber:)

  • Bella on April 16, 2017

    Hi Amber,
its been 3 days since I have started the Dukan diet however I feel like I am doing something wrong. Yesterday I had a hard boiled egg for breakfast, dry tuna for lunch, and minced meat with garlic and onions along with 3 ounces of low fat plain yogurt for dinner. Is this good as I am on the attack phase but feel like I am not using the right foods. Was the minced meat with the garlic and onions okay for the attack phase? Also, are there any websites you recommend for recipes for the attack phase, they are really hard to find. Thanks in advance!

    • Amber on April 18, 2017

      Hi Bella

For the Attack a low calorie intake is ok but it should not be continued into Cruise so you would need to eat more. Many of my recipes are suitable for use on the Attack phase but they do take a little persistance to find.

Go to this page http://thedukandietsite.com/list-of-contents/ and use control and f and then search using Attack phase recipe and then using attack recipe and you will find over 20 recipes.

This site is also very good http://mydukandiet.com/recipes/phases/attack/

Minced meat with onions and garlic is fine.

      Best wishes

  • Becky on April 10, 2017

Is there a minimum number of calories I should be eating? It’s seems pretty easy to come up
    short.

    • Amber on April 12, 2017

      Hi Becky

Some people do find it difficult to eat a reasonable level of calories as the protein is so satisfying. 1200 to 1500 is the ideal range.

      Thanks

      Amber:)

  • Mari on March 5, 2017

    Hi Amber,

could you please tell me if I make a bread with 2 table spoon oat bran, do I still have to eat it with yogurt too?

    • Amber on March 5, 2017

      Hi Mari

No – if you’ve used your daily serving of oat bran for the bread you don’t have any more that day.

      Best wishes

      Amber:)
