This post is going to give you ten ideas and suggestions on how you can eat your daily serving of oat bran whilst in the Attack Phase of the Dukan Diet.

  1. Make a Dukan Oat Bran Pancake
  2. Add ginger and sweetener to Dukan Pancake mix to make Ginger Biscuits.
  3. Add it to a low fat yogurt.
  4. Use it to make Vanilla Oat Bran Porridge.
  5. Make your own Chocolate Oat Bran Cereal.
  6. Bake Muffins.
  7. Blend bran to reduce coarseness, mix in spices and use as coating for chicken breast dipped in beaten egg.
  8. Make Dukan Toast.
  9. Add to Meatloaf.
  10. Add to Meatballs.

Hopefully these ten suggestions have shown you that eating your daily serving of oat bran is actually going to give your diet a lot of variety and can help make you feel as if you are really not on a diet at all.  How many other diets are there where you get to eat muffins and biscuits!

When you move into the other phases of the Dukan Diet there will be even more ways in which you will be able to use your oat bran.

Hi, do I have to eat protein or protein and veggies on PV days with the oat bran? or can I just eat it on its own as porridge ? Also is it ok to have it with Arla lactofree skimmed? I find that it has a lot less sugar than skimmed milk, Thanks!

    • Amber on January 22, 2017

      Hi V

No you don’t have to have anything with your oat bran porridge on either PP or PV days and having check out the nutritional information lactose free skimmed milk is fine to use.

Do I cook the oat bran when I want it with yogurt?

    • Amber on January 12, 2017

      Hi Jane

You could have it as a porridge with yogurt but the easiest way is just to stir it in uncooked.

      Thanks

May I make the oat bran into the cereal by adding water and microwave? Or do I have to eat it raw not microwaved?

    • Amber on November 15, 2016

      Hi Judy

I think the oat bran made into a porridge in the microwave is the best way to eat it.

    Hi!
I was looking at the galette recipe and it calls for 3 tbs of oat bran. On the attack phase it says to consume 1.5 tbs. daily. Is this a minimum or maximum amount of oat bran. Meaning, if I have a galette breakfast sandwich, can I not have a sandwich for lunch? Or a sandwhich for lunch and a muffin for breakfast?
    Thank you!

    • Amber on February 23, 2016

      Hi Krystal

The maximum is 1.5 tablespoons per day. The recipe gives you enough for 2 days. If you make small muffins and galettes particularly in Cruise where you are allowed 2 tablespoons per day you can eak out your daily limit so that you get two servings of oat bran. Many people use a tablespoon of wheat bran to make their oat bran go further and to help combat constipation.

Hi. Can I mix a little chiken curry in my cooked oat bran. Also in the attack phase can I distribute my 11/2 tbls of oat bran throughout the day.

    • Amber on December 14, 2015

      Hi Farida

Yes you could put the oat bran in a curry and you can spread it through the day if that suits you best.

    Can you have feta cheese

    • Amber on August 6, 2015

      Hi Peter

Fat free feta cheese is high in sodium so is best avoided. Stick with ricotta or cream cheese if you can.

      Kind regards
