Snacks for the Dukan Diet Cruise Phase – 10 Sweet Snacks

I’ve already provided details of 10 Sweet Snacks that you can eat on the Attack Phase and am providing another 10 here for the Cruise Phase.  You’ll also find details in this link of 10 Savory Snacks that you can eat on the Attack Phase.

The first is a quick chocolate fix, two and three are fruity snacks, four and five are drinks that are a little more filling, six and seven are two more chocolatey treats, eight is cooling and refreshing, nine is light and sweet and ten is small, sweet and nutritious.

  • Chocolate Yogurt – This is simply a serving of fat free yogurt with added sweetener and a teaspoon of reduced fat, no added sugar, cocoa powder (tolerated item)
  • Goji Berries –In the Cruise Phase you are allowed one tablespoon a day on a Pure Protein (PP) day and two tablespoons a day on a Protein and Vegetable (PV) day. (In the Consolidation Phase the permitted amounts go up to three tablespoons a day.)
  • Rhubarb – This is a permitted vegetable so can be eaten in unlimited quantities on PV days but on PP days you can have 100g serving with a sweetener and treat this as one of your two daily tolerated items.
  • Hot Chocolate
  • Mint Lassi –
Ingredients
  • 600 ml of skim milk
  • 100 grams of silken tofu
  • 6 sprigs of washed mint
  • Sweetener to taste
Method
  1. Bring the milk to the boil with the washed mint.
  2. Take off the heat and cover.
  3. Leave to infuse for 15 minutes.
  4. Throw away the mint.
  5. Allow to cool and then place in the refrigerator.
  6. Mix the milk with the  tofu.
  7. Add sweetener to taste and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 4½ tablespoons of  Fat Free Fromage Frais
  • 4 tablespoons of Splenda
  • 1 teaspoon of Orange Blossom Water
  • ½ teaspoon of Cinnamon

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix together the fromage frais and Splenda.
  2. Add the Orange Blossom Water and Cinnamon.
  3. Transfer the mixture to some ice lolly cups
  4. Place an ice lolly stick in the middle of each cup
  5. Freeze for at least three hours to set.
  • Dukan Meringues (also suitable for the Attack Phase)
  • Cherry Tomatoes (only suitable for PV days on the Cruise phase).  Cherry tomatoes come in lots of different varieties if you can find them and can be beautifully sweet when perfectly ripe.  The picture I’ve chosen above shows some of the more unusual varieties such as Black Cherry, Green Grape, Yellow Mini, Red Pear and Sun Gold.

    Hello Amber
I am so excited and I promised myself this will be the LAST diet but forever lhealthy plan I will ever go on 🙂 I made my Oat bran galette with no fat Greek yogurt as I could not find no fat cottage cheese. Topped it with some canned tuna i(in water) made it savory by adding a pinch of salt and pepper and it was crazy delicious!
I was just wondering if I may use Vanilla extract in my no fat Greek yogurt ? Thank you Amber

      Hi SAni

You’ve got the idea – eating sensibly doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your food. Yes you ca nuse a little vanilla extract in your yogurts.

      Best wishes

      Hi Savitha

I look forward to hearing from you when you reach your target weight but unfortunately apart from rhubarb and goji berries no other fruits are allowed until you reach you target weight.

      Best wishes

          Hi Savitha

1 kg in just 3 days isn’t too bad a start. The important thing is to work out how you can adapt the foods that you like to fit the Dukan Diet. If you can do this it will be so much easier.

          Good luck1

    Hi all,
I would like to know if low joule “diet” jelly is permitted?
We have an “Aeroplane” brand jelly that tastes as good as the sugar stuff but with no kilojules.
It makes for a very good snack.
It is made on gellotine (from beef) with aspartine and colours and flavors.
One 125ml serve has 5 joules of energy and no carbs or sugars.
    Thanks,
    Gina

      Hi Gina

I’ve checked the nutritional information for Aeroplane Jelly Lite and it is fine for you to eat on the Dukan Diet. The Peach and White Tea flavour sounds delicious!

Dr Dukan allows you to eat up to 3 portions of sugar free jelly every day and as you say it is a great snack. It is also very nice when made with yogurt too!

      Best wishes

Hi Amber. Love your site. I’m so far doing really well. Started 2nd Jan and have now lost 3st 9lb. Can you tell me where I can buy the fat reduced no sugar cocoa powder. Also I can manage to go out for a meal with friends if its a pp and veg day but struggle on a pp day. Most times I manage to time it right but would it harm if I changed days and did two veg and then two pp days? Thanks for your help. Louise

    • Amber on April 10, 2012

      Hi Lou

You’ve done really well to lose over 50 pounds since the beginning of the year.

You can get the fat reduced cocoa powder at Tesco – http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=273122098 or online at Amazon – https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006MDJMZS/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_til?tag=thedukandiets-21&camp=1406&creative=6394&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B006MDJMZS&adid=0XPKT61MA00RANJCQWM. You can also buy Dr Dukan’s own brand from the online Dukan Shop.

Yes you can change your PV and PV days around to accommodate dining out with friends or other occasions when eating PV is much easier.

      Keep up the great work!

      Hi Lou, Amber.

I recall reading in the book that Dukan diet allows for a 5 days PV/ 5 days PP cycle (the original) and a 1/1 day PV/PP cycle (which he claims to seem to get the same result).

Does that means a 2/2, 3/3, etc should work as well?

My own cycle is adapted to my week: I do PV every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday. (2PV, 2PP, 1PV, 2PP) because it accomodates my work week better. I was losing 2kg per week during the cruise phase (when i’m on track. its a bit hard this past month).

      • Amber on May 25, 2012

        Hi Donald

I think that any cycle where the number of PV days equals (or exceeds) the number of PP days is fine. I also think weekly cycle is a good idea but I suggest using 4 days PV to 3 days PP in a week rather than 4 days PP to 3 days PV as you do. My view is that the important thing to do is make the diet fit your own personal circumstances.

        Kind regards

        Amber:)
