Dukan Diet Attack Phase Recipe : Chinese Shirataki Noodles

A simple Chinese noodle dish that is suitable for the Attack Phase and PP days but to which additional vegetables can be added on PV days in Cruise.

Chinese Shirataki Noodles

Ingredients (One or two servings depending on what else if anything you will be eating! Adjust the quantity of noodles as required)

  • 1 Shredded Chicken Breast
  • 1 Finely Sliced Onion
  • 1 Beaten Egg
  • 1 Large Finely Diced Clove of Garlic
  • 1 Finely Sliced De-seeded Red Chili
  • 1 Teaspoon of Chinese Five Island Spice
  • Sweetener and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • 1/2″ Chunk of Finely Grated Fresh Ginger
  • 1 pack Shirataki Noodles
  • 1 Chicken Stock Cube


  1. Rinse the noodles under running water.
  2. Put the onion, garlic, ginger and chili in a large pan with a little water and cook for a couple of minutes to soften.
  3. Add the chicken, noodles, stock cube, sweetener, spice and seasoning with enough water to cover.
  4. Simmer for about ten minutes
  5. Drain the liquid and keep to one side.
  6. Add a beaten egg to the noodles and mix in well until cooked.
  7. Place in bowl and add reserved liquid as desired

    Aloha amber. Really enjoying your website lots of fun ideas. I’m curious if we can eat kelp noodles(/”sea tangle “) as well as these tofu noodles. They’re literally pure kelp, neutral in flavor n have trace minerals???????? Regards from Maui.

      Yes you can eat kelp noodles on PV days.

    I purchased the Dukan Books and nowhere is there any mention of noodles in the attack phase.
    Can you please explain or direct me to the nutritional information about Shirataki noodles.
    I will be so happy if they are a new allowable food in the attack phase of the Dukan diet.

      Hi Cathy

      This isn’t the same as shiratki noodles as it has more calories due to added oat fibre. Oat fibre isn’t an allowed food so strictly this food isn’t allowed.

    Hello, Amber. I am in my 4th day of the attack phase and i really miss soups. Is it ok to have chicken broth (homemade) or miso soup in the attach phase? Thanks, I appreciate your help.

      Chicken broth soup or Miso soup without the seaweed is fine on the Attack Phase or on PP days in Cruise.

      I’d guess around a couple of tablespoons, you need enough to stop the onions etc from catching on the bottom of the pan and burning but don’t want to swamp them!

    I have just started Day 2 of the Dukan Diet and wondering why you can have these noodles in the attack phase?

      These noodles are a fairly recent addition to the Dukan Diet. I’ve copied the nutritional information below but they are a no fat, no calories, virtually carb free food. If only they tasted like chocolate!!!

      Ingredients: Water, glucomannan (soluble fiber), calcium additive.

        Hi Amber,

        Thank you soo much for this fabulous website. I have found it invaluable.
        As more foods are introduced that are not in the book or only in coaching feed, for example, goji berries, shirataki noodles to name a few I got from your site. Is there a compiled list of these newly added foods? The diet gets a little boring after a month and these items give you a little boast to perserveer.
