Dukan Diet Attack Phase Recipe: Lucee’s Dukan Chicken “Pasta”

This is a recipe emailed to me to share with you all from Lucee. Thank you Lucee.

Lucee’s Dukan Chicken “Pasta”

Ingredients (two servings)

    • 4 chicken drumsticks
    • 2 packs of Shirataki flat noodles
    • 4 tablespoons of fat free cream cheese (The US book lists fat free cream cheese as a permitted protein but the UK book doesn’t.  However the UK coaching site now allows up to 2% fat cream cheese as part of the 1 Kg dairy allowance in the Attack Phase.)
    • 1 finely diced small onion
    • 1 finely diced clove of garlic
    • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Bake your chicken pieces in the oven until cooked.
  2. Remove the chicken pieces from the dish, discard the skin, remove the meat from the bones, chop into pieces and set to one side.
  3. Add 2 cups of water to the cooking juices left in the dish and transfer to a saucepan skimming off  any excess fat.
  4. Bring to the boil and reduce by half to 1 cup of liquid.
  5. Use this liquid to cook the onion and garlic until soft.
  6. At the same time rinse the Shirataki noodles well and part boiled and drain
  7. Add the cream cheese, herbs and chicken to the onion mixture and season to taste.
  8. Add in the noodles and stir well continuing to cook for a couple more minutes.
  9. Serve and enjoy immediately.

    Hi there,

Please could you confirm if I can have Philadelphia light cheese or do I have to use quark? I really want to have a go with this.

I started my attack phase on Sunday but already getting board of my choices – need to be more imaginative (me)

    Cheers

      Hi Seema

UK Philadelphia Lightest has 3% fat content so is just a little over the 2% limit. If you are happy to work outside of the rules you could use this cheese instead of the quark. UK Philadelphia light has 11.5 % fat content so is definitely not suitable.

      Kind regards

      Amber:)

    Hi.

I’m just in the middle of making this and the recipe doesn’t state which herbs are to be used?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

      Hi mrsj2008

I’d probably use some chives, flat leaf parsley and cilantro/coriander and might add some basil too. It would all depend on what herbs I had really. I would probably also top the dish off with some finely sliced scallions/spring onions to give a little more color to the dish.

      What did you use?

      Best wishes

        Hi Amber,

I didn’t use any herbs, i’m not very good at trying to figure out what goes with certain dishes. In the end I grilled some ham slices, chopped it up and added that. It gave it a better texture and also colour. Quite like a carbonara!

        Have a lovely weekend x

    Hello,
I will be starting the Dukan Diet tomorrow 🙂 Am I allowed to eat rotisserie chicken (with the skin taken off, of course) during Attack/Phase 1? I know chicken is allowed, but sometimes I feel like rotisserie chicken can be a bit greasy…
P.S. I have been reading your website all day and it is so informative & motivating. Thanks so much, Amber!

      Hi Lindsay

The problem with rotisserie chicken is the liquid it is basted with. I’d avoid this type of chicken if at all possible.

      Good Luck for tomorrow.

      Best wishes

      Amber:)
