Can you eat flavoured yoghurt on dukan? The one I have is vanilla, fat free and high protein

    • Amber on March 21, 2017

      Hi Cayce

Yes you can but the yogurt needs to have less than 2% fat and less than 7% carbs/sugars.

    Hi

I am in the UK and nearly 4 weeks into the Dukan 2 diet. I have lost 9 lbs so far and have found it excellent. Could you tell me how many goji berries I can have a day to help with constipation as I can only find info for the original Dukan diet (ie one tbsp on Attack, etc) I’m assuming it is the same but thought I’d check. Thanks

    • Amber on April 17, 2016

      Hi Ellie

As you are eating fruit go with 1 tablespoon a day.

      Best wishes

Hi Amber! I am finishing up my first week of consolidation and it’s going well. One question: May I have air-popped popcorn as my starch? If so, how much? Thank you!

    • Amber on March 6, 2016

      Hi Emily

No this isn’t an approved starch, the starch needs to be incorporated into a meal not eaten as a snack.

      Kind regards

    Dear Amber,

Thanks a lot for giving a lot of advise as you know loosing weight is not easy but having this support is a great thing.

I want to know if yam on its own is allowed as shirataki noodles are made from yam.

    Best regards.

    • Amber on November 5, 2015

      Hi Marie

No yam on its own is not allowed as the yam/root that Shiratki noodles are made from is different from other yams.

      Best wishes

Hi Amber! I did 7 days of attack and have lost 6lbs. I have another 11lbs to go. I did 2 weeks of cruise phase but wasn’t able to stick to the rhythm of 1PP/1PV. I had Vegies almost every day. Should I go back to attack phase to start over again? Also when on cruise phase- should I do the alternating rhythm of 1PP/1Pv or 5PP/5PV? I’m determined to lose my 11lbs now…..

    • Amber on October 5, 2015

      Hi Karen

Congratulations on your success in the Attack Phase. The Attack Phase isn’t repeated as a stand alone as it is too restrictive. This is why in Cruise the number of pure protein days have to be balanced by an equal number of protein and vegetable days. I’d recommend using which ever you think you will be able to stick to the best as this will make it easier for you to reach your goal.

      Kind regards

Hi can you flavour chicken with nandos coat and cook medium ?

    • Amber on September 25, 2015

      Hi Andy

Sorry no – the product contains sugar, oil and starch.

      Kind regards

Has anyone lost weight on The 7 step programme. Have just started it was on the original dukan diet and lost 12 kg in 5 weeks.

  • Lesley on February 14, 2015

Just about to start the cruise phase. Are onions, all types of onions, OK to eat? Didnt see them there. Also, wondering about chicken broth which would make a nice base for a vegetable soup? If not, could you recommend a base for a soup?

    • Amber on February 15, 2015

      Hi Lesley

Yes all types of onions are allowed and you can make your own chicken broth but don’t use any skin or make sure that you allow the broth to cool before using so that you can remove all fat. You can also use chicken broth to make egg drop soup that can be enjoyed on PP days. http://thedukandietsite.com/5581/attack-recipe-dukan-egg-drop-soup/

Hi – I am planning shortly to go onto the consolidation stage.
I have only just discovered this website and have read Dr.Dukan’s book but have not heard any mention previously about tolerated foods. is this a new addition and what does it mean ?

  • Maria on November 9, 2014

I have now been on Cruise phase for 46 days and due to go onto consolidation after the 50th day. However, last night had a small glass of champagne but nearly a litre of sparkling water and stuck to meat only. Have I done myself any damage in relation to losing weight? Should I do two days of protein only?

    Thanks

    Maria

    • Amber on November 13, 2014

      Hi Maria

If you gained weight as a result of the champagne, just stay on the Cruise phase until you reach your target weight.

I have just lost 43 pounds, on consolidation phase. Is the two slices of bread required daily? May I have daily fruit and cheese. Went to Italian restaurant they had only whole wheat pasta, is that acceptable with a marinara sauce? I am very pleased with my results and plan on maintaining my weight. I will be on consolidation for 225 days

    • Amber on October 22, 2014

      Hi Bob

Congratulations – Your wholewheat pasta should be your portion of starchy food rather than a replacement for the bread. You should try to eat the bread each day and yes the cheese and fruit is eaten every day except for Dukan Thursday.

Is stove top popped popcorn allowed popped with olive oil?

    • Amber on October 13, 2014

      Hi Karinda

Sorry – corn is not an allowed vegetable.

      Kind regards

I’m adding this to the suggestion page as it’s something I’d find very handy. It might already exist though….

A database (or just page) of different brands that we can buy for tolerated items….

    For example:

7% or less cheeses – brand A, brand B, etc
    Yogurts
    Cocoa Powder
    Non-sugar added spices
    Jellies
    etc etc

Do you have pages for those, that you keep updated? If not, maybe all the readers could contribute their brands for their countries. I’m struggling to find brands of less than 7% fat cheeses in the UK!

Sorry if this is something you’ve already done!! 🙂

    • Amber on July 9, 2014

      Hi Carly

I agree it would be a very handy resource but as my readers are from all over the world it isn’t something that I would have the time to keep updated.

      Best wishes

This has always been one of my go to diet lunches. I thought I’d share.

1/2 cup cottage cheese, diced cucumber, tomatoes or red pepper and green onion stir and enjoy. Topped with shakes of black pepper. This fills you up and keeps you satisfied.

    • Amber on April 27, 2014

      Hi Judy

This sounds perfect. Thanks for sharing.

I have frozen yogurt in a bowl for maybe an hour, then just eaten it at that point. I saw an advertisement on TV where they put a popsicle stick through the foil lid of the container freeze, then you pop it out of the container and eat it like a popsicle.

        • Amber on April 28, 2014

          Hi Jujdy

That sounds so simple and will be great when the hotter weather arrives.
